Understanding Persona Fusion in Persona 3 Reload

Persona fusion is a core mechanic in Persona 3 Reload that allows you to create new, more powerful Personas by combining two or more existing ones. Mastering the fusion system is essential for progressing through the game and facing increasingly difficult challenges.

Basic Fusion Rules

There are several types of fusions in Persona 3 Reload:

• Normal Fusion: Combining two Personas to create a new one
• Triangle Fusion: Combining three Personas for rarer results
• Special Fusion: Specific combinations that create unique Personas

Arcana Combinations

Each Persona belongs to one of 22 Arcana (such as Fool, Magician, Priestess, etc.). When fusing Personas, the Arcana of the ingredients determines the Arcana of the result:

Skill Inheritance

When fusing Personas, the resulting Persona can inherit skills from its ingredients. The inheritance pattern follows these rules:

• Each Persona type has affinities for certain skill types
• Skills that match a Persona's affinities are more likely to be inherited
• Some skills cannot be inherited at all
• The higher the rank of the ingredient Personas, the more skills can be inherited

Special Fusions

Special fusions require specific Personas as ingredients and often result in unique, powerful Personas that cannot be obtained through normal fusion:

• Orpheus Telos: Requires maxing all Social Links
• Messiah: Requires Orpheus and Thanatos
• Kohryu: Requires Genbu, Seiryu, Suzaku, and Byakko
• Alice: Requires Pixie, Lilim, and Narcissus

• Level up your Social Links to get EXP bonuses when fusing Personas of the corresponding Arcana
• Register your Personas in the Compendium before fusing them
